HISTORY
The fact that we have been in business since 1933 is a source of pride for those of us at Ferguson Financial Group. For over 70 years we have been building a reputation for excellence in service and value in the eyes of the individual and business clients we serve.
In 1933, Chester Ferguson founded the Ferguson Agency.
The Ferguson Agency owed much of its early success to the patronage of area farmers. In addition to writing auto, home, and farm insurance, the agency also sold seed corn, real estate, and served as a representative of Blackhawk PCA during the early years.
Over the next several decades, the Ferguson Agency continued to expand to meet the needs of the changing marketplace. We expanded our customer base, added product and service components, purchased the Kaney Insurance Agency in Freeport, Illinois, and, most recently, we merged with Macktown Insurance Agency in Rockton, Illinois. Ultimately the Ferguson Agency became Ferguson Financial Group, Inc, as it is known today.
The current officers are Richard Weigle, Gary Hospelhorn, Steven Pomahac, and Ted Odendahl.
