Having spent 35 years working to provide protection from risks to assets and profits for businesses as diverse as machine shops and wholesale distributors, perhaps no one incorporates into their personal life the reality that "good risk management opens the way to great adventure" more than does Richard. An adventurer with many interests, the care and preparation that goes into climbing a mountain requires him to "practice what we preach." Richard has earned the CIC designation and his professional background was formed by work at the Universities of Hartford and Michigan and Drake University. He has also climbed two-mile high peaks on more than one continent. His most valued achievement, however, he says "is building a company whose highest priority is customer service and sound ethics." Richard was Chairman of our Board for many years and corporate CFO. He also holds offices in Rotary and serves on the board of German American State Bank, Foresight Financial Group, and Summit Fitness.
